Health Links (HL): Why did your business decide to become a Health Links Certified Healthy Business?

Grand County Rural Health Network (GCRH): Our organizational vision is to ensure that everyone has what they need to be healthy. Therefore, it is our priority to be a role model within the community in promoting a healthy work environment. 

HL: What benefits did the Certification bring to your business?

GCRH: The Certification led to an overall awareness of healthy practices in the workplace. It helped us to create a Workplace Wellness Committee and address workplace needs. The committee identified individual employee needs which led to our grant request to purchase standing desks.

HL: How has this Certification changed the way your business thinks about health promotion and safety?

GCRH: In our bi-weekly staff meetings, we share workplace wellness tips. We also have instituted an annual wellness benefit that reimburses employees for a health-related activity expense.

HL: How has your employee health and safety program given back to your community?

GCRH: We have referred other partner agencies to the Health Links program.
